The real “art” of coaching hitters is to know when to let things be, when to experiment with a change, and when to insist on a change. A hitting strategy which works for one hitter can be ineffective for another. Intricate hitting techniques must be developed and be a good match for the abilities (strength, athleticism, speed, desire, aggressiveness, etc.) of the specific hitter.
